A yacht seen from above on clear blue water

Yacht charter in Gran Canaria

A crewed yacht from the calm south-west, for an afternoon at sea or a whole week.

Step aboard in Puerto de Mogán with nothing to carry and nothing to plan. The crew knows where the water is clearest today, lunch is served at anchor below the cliffs, and the only question is whether to swim before or after. You come back to harbour as the light turns gold, and the car is already waiting on the quay.

Questions

Yacht charter in Gran Canaria, answered.

How much does a yacht charter cost in Gran Canaria?

It depends on the size of the yacht, the length of the charter and the season. Every charter is quoted in full before you confirm, with crew, fuel, food and drink set out line by line, so the price you agree is the price you pay. Sending a request costs nothing.

Where do yacht charters leave from in Gran Canaria?

Most leave from the south-west marinas of Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico and Pasito Blanco, where the sea is calmest. Charters from Las Palmas in the north are also possible.

Can I charter a yacht in Gran Canaria for just one day?

Yes. Half-day and full-day charters are the usual choice, and sunset sails are often only a few hours. Week-long charters can take in Tenerife or the other islands.

Do I need a boating licence to charter a yacht?

No. Every charter we arrange comes with a licensed captain and crew, so you only need to enjoy the day.

Can you book a yacht charter at short notice?

Often, yes: a boat for tomorrow is usually possible outside the busiest weeks. For Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays, tell us your dates as early as you can.

Is the sea calm enough for children?

The south-west coast is sheltered from the prevailing winds, which makes it the calmest stretch of sea on the island. The captain checks the forecast and chooses the route for comfort, and children’s life jackets can be requested.
