QuestionsSixteen answers, in the order guests ask them

Everything guests ask, answered.

  1. No. 01What we do

What does a luxury concierge in the Canary Islands do?

Alba Zas plans and arranges a private stay on the Canary Islands from start to finish: villas with a residence chef and staff, yacht charters, private jets and helicopters, chauffeurs, private events and reservations at the islands’ Michelin-starred restaurants. One host coordinates everything and stays reachable for the length of your visit.

  2. No. 02The islands

    Which islands do you cover?

Three: Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. A single stay can move between them by private aircraft, helicopter or yacht, and Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are a short ferry crossing apart.

  3. No. 03Membership

How do I become a member?

Begin with a short request, or an introduction from someone who already knows us. If we’re a good fit, your host arranges a short private call. A first visit is a single Stay; the Residence is offered by invitation after that first stay.

  4. No. 04By request

Why is access by request only?

Because the best villas, captains and chefs on the islands are limited, and so is our attention. We take on a small number of households each season so that every one of them receives the same standard of care.

  5. No. 05Cost

    What does it cost?

A Visit is quoted in full before anything is booked: the villa, vessels, aircraft and dining you choose, plus our arrangement fee. Residence fees are shared privately when the invitation is made. There are no hidden supplements and no commissions taken from you without your knowledge.

  6. No. 06What is included

    What’s included?

Everything in the Collection, co-ordinated by one host who is reachable day and night throughout your stay: villas with residence chefs and staff, yacht charters, private jets and helicopters, chauffeurs and security drivers, private events and reservations at the islands’ Michelin-starred restaurants.

  7. No. 07Replies

    How quickly will you respond?

New requests receive a personal reply within one working day. Once you’re with us, your host answers directly by message, call or email, whichever you prefer.

  8. No. 08Short notice

Can you arrange things at short notice?

Often, yes. A table tonight or a yacht tomorrow is usually possible; a peak-season villa next week sometimes is. Tell us what you need and we’ll tell you honestly what can be done.

  9. No. 09Privacy

    How do you handle privacy?

Your details are shared only with the people who need them to serve you, under confidentiality. We never publish guest names, photographs or itineraries, and we’re happy to sign your own NDA.

  10. No. 10Beyond the islands

Do you work outside the Canary Islands?

We work only on the Canary Islands. We’ll gladly arrange your aircraft in and out, and connect you with trusted partners elsewhere when you travel on.

  11. No. 11VIP concierge

    What is a VIP concierge?

A VIP concierge is a person who looks after the details of your stay so you never have to. At Alba Zas that means one host who knows you by name, learns how you like your mornings, your table and your silence, and quietly arranges the rest: the villa, the chef, the car at the door.

  12. No. 12Elite service

What is an elite concierge service?

An elite concierge service gives each guest personal care. Ours is a small house: we take on few households each season, we remember what you told us last time, and we answer for every arrangement ourselves. If something needs to change at midnight, you speak to the same person who planned it, and it is handled.

  13. No. 13Types of concierge

What are the different types of concierge services?

There are several, and they often overlap. Hotel concierges help guests during a stay; lifestyle concierges manage everyday life and reservations; luxury travel concierges plan trips, flights and villas; event concierges host celebrations; and relocation concierges help people settle into a new home. Ours is a private luxury concierge for the Canary Islands, which brings these together: villas with a private chef, yacht charters, private aviation, chauffeurs, events and tables at the islands’ Michelin-starred restaurants, all through one host.

  14. No. 14Private vs hotel

How is a private concierge different from a hotel concierge?

A hotel concierge is wonderful, but belongs to the hotel and to the moment you are at the desk. A private concierge belongs to you. We are with you before you land and long after you leave, we are not tied to any one property, and we can bring together a villa, a boat and a dinner reservation as a single, calm plan. You also have one person to call, whatever the hour.

  15. No. 15Who we host

Who uses a private concierge service?

Families who want a holiday that simply works, couples marking an anniversary, friends gathering for a milestone, business owners who value their time, and guests returning to the islands who would rather not start from scratch. You do not need to be a regular or to know exactly what you want. Tell us a little about your trip and we will take it from there, warmly and without fuss.

  16. No. 16Villa, chef & yacht

Can a concierge arrange a villa, private chef or yacht in the Canary Islands?

Yes. We arrange private villas with a residence chef and staff, yacht and catamaran charters, and a private chef for an evening or the whole stay across Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Tell us who is travelling and what makes you happy, and we will suggest only what suits you.
